Our organisation

Nieuwkans is an organisation that stands out in supporting employee development in the workplace. Think behaviour, leadership and teams, career development, outplacement and second track.

What do I believe in?
Living Your Own Future: being able to influence your future from realism, own responsibility and creating opportunities.

Who am I?
In 2012, I started my first organisation, Beaucage - one of the first networking organisations, which the time was not ready for then 😉 .

My origins are in the financial services industry, where I guided change processes and reorganisations towards the new reality. What I soon noticed there is that employees are often not concerned with their future. Only when they come to a forced crossroads do they start thinking about what they are good at and what else they could possibly mean within the organisation. Uncertainty does something to people: it brings doubt and that affects self-confidence.

I believe that when you know what your qualities are and what needs you want to fulfil, you can take much better control of your life and career. Insight gives confidence, and therefore you see why certain roles do or do not suit you and what steps you can take to grow towards something.

Every person can do a lot, but some things come easier to you than others. I believe you should do what you are good at and leave to others the work in which they are better. That way, you can achieve the best results together with the right people.

For assignments, I always looked for the right people to shape them in the best way. Based on realism and quality - and even 'no' is sometimes an answer with me. In the beginning, I found saying no quite exciting, but precisely because of this I was found for the things in which I excelled myself.

I founded Nieuwkans in 2017 and since then it has grown into the organisation it is today. Nieuwkans stands out in supporting employee development in the workplace. Think behaviour, leadership and teams, career development, outplacement and second track.

We work exclusively with certified independents who together realise beautiful projects. A conscious choice: this is how we keep our network strong and active, share trends and developments and always stay up-to-date. With some 30 coaches and trainers, we have national coverage, complemented by intensive collaborations in the field of profiles, assessments and entrepreneurship.

My starting point is still: innovative thinking, opportunity creation, connecting, realism, networking and doing what you do best for 80%. That is how I - and we as an organisation - get the best out of ourselves.
